Eleutherococcus

The Eleu root (botanical name: Eleutherococcus senticosus RUPR. et MAXIM, radix, also called Siberian ginseng or Siberian ginseng) is a highly resilient, perennial, 2-3 m tall, spiny shrub.

Grows mainly in Eastern Siberia (the taiga), in Central and Northern China , but also in Korea and Japan .

Eleu root has been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years. It is traditionally used to treat exhaustion conditions such as fatigue and weakness.

In a variety of studies, scientists discuss a wide spectrum of properties, ranging from tonic and strengthening effects to a noticeable increase in performance .

Of particular importance are the eleutherosides (special ingredients), which increase the body’s resilience and adaptability.

This adaptogenic effect puts the body into a state of increased resistance, for example, to harmful external factors and environmental stress.
